Police Emergency Reporting System (PERS) was launched on the 7th of September 2006 by Tan Sri Mohd Bakri Omar, Former Inspector General of Police,Malaysia.PERS provides an effective communication facility to the public to enable any sort of report to be channeled to the police instantly. PERS is a medium for public to reach the Police in the shortest time possible efficiently.
To set up a computerized system that effectively enables the Police Emergency Reporting System (PERS) to conduct a report of criminal activity immediately from the victim or the public, with instant visual verification for greater efficiency and transparency towards producing a more up to date, concise and complete reporting system.
To set up an automated work flow system that takes care of all the PERS processes and maintain it on real time basis.
To create a new and effective medium in functioning like a bridge for the public to reach the Police in the shortest possible time.
To main objective of the system is to enable a crime report to be channeled to the Police instantly upon it happening, in a speedy, efficient and transparent manner, since speed is vital for effectiveness in attending an emergency report.
